Waterlogue App-Make Your Photos into Beautiful and Stylish Watercolors

Developed by Tinrocket, Waterlogue is an app that is able to turn a photo into beautiful watercolors. If you want to make your photos taken by yourself into unique styles, we recommend you this photo handling app-Waterlogue.

Like most of the popular apps currently, Waterlogue looks simple, clean, and easy to use. Launch the app and you will find everything just simple and clear. You will get hold of it easily even for the first time when you use it. At the bottom of the interface, users can choose different watercolor filters; they can apply brush strokes that in various sizes according to the style of photos; and they can also adjust the photos’ brightness and use a border. There are two buttons above the strip. One is for adding photos and the other is for sharing.

It is just because the app is very intuitive and logical that new users can easily handle it without much guidance. To import photos to Waterlogue, users can either load photos from local library or take a new photo. Before you decide which watercolor style you want to use, you can check out how it finally looks like by testing with one of the 10 example photos offered.

Ok, when you got the photo ready, you can scroll to check the choices of filters. There are 12 different filters. (The default filter is “Natural”.) After choosing the filter, the app will guide the users step by step to process the operation. Users will see the animation of how it turns a photo into watercolor and finally a new unique photo comes to birth.

If you are not satisfied with the style you’ve chosen, you can change it. Just tap on another one and there is a “live preview”. It will turn up on top of the original image as a miniaturized version. If you think that is the style you want, tap on the preview then to adopt it. You can see the animation of the painting process again then.

After choosing the filter, you need to choose the size of brush stroke. The sizes include small (4), medium (6), large (8), and giant (10). If you give up this option, the app will take the default size-medium (6). If you need to choose one, you are able to preview it first before applying it. Isn’t it a very sweet design? Following is the brightness settings. The options are dark, darker, normal, lighter, and light. And then, you can choose to use a border or not.

When your masterpiece is complete, you can share it by tapping on the share button. You are allowed to share it to Instagram, Twitter, and Tumblr. Sure, you can choose to save to your photo library on your devices. Additionally, you can share it with your friends via email.

It seems everything is perfect so far. However, nothing is perfect. It is a little bit strange that the Settings buttons of Waterlogue are hidden at the end of the bottom row of the share button. This design is not good for users’ experience. In the Settings, users can choose to save photos as small, medium, large, or original, or they choose to output the photo in compressed JPEG or lossless PNG format.

Currently, Waterlogue can be downloaded from App Store. It costs $3.99. It is supported by iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. It requires iOS 7.0 and later. If you have many beautiful photos saved on your devices, you can try this app to make them more special.
